Landore Copper Works Social Club
The club's recorded history traces its origins to October 1934, when it was established in connection with Imperial Chemical Industries and known as the I.C.I. Metals Social Club, Swansea. The premises were associated with the industrial history of the Hafod and Landore area.
Early club life
Records from the mid-1930s describe a busy social organisation with billiards, bowls, cricket, football, dramatics, a glee party, gymnasium activities, a library and table tennis. Social functions and sporting sections were central to club life.
The historical record
Much of the written history was compiled by Ivor Williams in 1999 using club records and memorabilia. His work set out to preserve the development and culture of the club from its early industrial roots through the twentieth century.

The club's historical archive contains leases, registration certificates, company documents and other records relating to the development of Landore Social Club.
